Dr. Daniel Lorido is a lifelong South Florida resident with deep roots in the community he is honored to serve. A
graduate of Ransom Everglades School in Miami, he continued his education at the University
of Miami, where he completed both his undergraduate education and medical degree. Throughout his
training, Dr. Lorido developed a passion for improving healthcare outcomes and providing compassionate,
evidence-based care for women and families.
Dr. Lorido earned his combined MD-MPH degree through the University of Miami Miller School of
Medicine’s four-year program, allowing him to integrate clinical medicine with a broader understanding of
public health and community wellness. Throughout his education and training, he remained committed to serving the
community, volunteering at healthcare clinics throughout South Florida, from West Palm Beach to the Florida Keys. He
also served as a public health director for an organization that coordinated medical mission trips to the Dominican
Republic, further strengthening his commitment to compassionate care and improving access to healthcare.
During his residency, Dr. Lorido developed a particular interest in supporting healthy pregnancies, reducing
unnecessary interventions, and helping patients achieve their desired birth experiences through informed,
evidence-based care. His clinical interests include high-risk obstetrics, lifestyle and preventative health, and
improving maternal outcomes. His residency research focused on identifying factors that predict successful vaginal
birth after cesarean (VBAC), and his work was accepted for presentation at the national conference of the
American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). His dedication to education and
mentorship was also recognized throughout his training, earning him multiple teaching awards as voted on by medical
students at Montefiore.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Lorido values the importance of communication and building meaningful
relationships with his patients. He believes that every woman deserves to feel heard, respected, and empowered in
her healthcare decisions.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Lorido enjoys an active lifestyle and embraces all that South Florida has to offer. He lives
near the ocean with his wife and enjoys spending time outdoors, cycling, snowboarding, and staying active through
regular exercise. He is also a passionate Miami Dolphins fan. As a lifelong South Florida resident, Dr. Lorido is
proud to care for the community that shaped him and is honored to partner with patients and families throughout
their healthcare journey.
