Over-the-Counter Medications

Over-the-counter medications can be helpful during pregnancy, but it’s important to use them carefully. Many common remedies are considered safe for women with healthy, uncomplicated pregnancies, while others should be avoided. Always check with your provider before starting any new medication, even if it’s available without a prescription. Be sure to follow recommended dosing instructions and avoid combination products unless specifically advised. If your symptoms are severe, persistent, or not improving with over-the-counter options, please contact our office at (561) 300-0600 for guidance.

Complementary Therapies

Many families find that approaches such as doulas, prenatal massage, acupuncture, chiropractic care, mindfulness practices, and prenatal yoga can ease common discomforts, reduce stress, and promote overall balance throughout pregnancy. These therapies are meant to complement—not to replace your regular prenatal care, offering additional tools to help you feel grounded, nurtured, and connected to your changing body. We believe that many of these therapies can be safe and beneficial during pregnancy when provided by licensed practitioners who are experienced and comfortable working with pregnant individuals. For a list of our preferred partners, simply talk with your provider at your next appointment.
